Lead Driver & Proprietor of Daniel Madeira Taxis

My name is João Daniel R. de Freitas, known to my friends as Daniel. I am a professional taxi driver in the beautiful Madeira Island.

I have driven a taxi since August 1990 and I'm a member of Aitram: Madeira Taxi-Divers Association.

I own a comfortable, air conditioned, insured 4 passenger Mercedes-Benz E270 CDI, registration number 65-30-MA. For your safety and reassurance, I am fully licensed (number 1171) to offer you tours and excursions to the many tourist destinations that are spread across Madeira.

Apart from Portuguese, I speak English, a little French, Spanish and also Africaans, as I lived in South Africa for a period of 22 years.
